Not always. Most illnesses are caused by viral infections, not bacterial ones. Prescribing antibiotics for viral infections can actually worsen a patient’s condition, as antibiotics eliminate both good and bad bacteria. Some beneficial bacteria play a key role in supporting the immune system, helping it to fight off the virus effectively.

We are currently accepting Blue cross blue shield, Presbyterian, Cigna, Aetna, and Medicaid. We are still working on getting approval with Medicare, United Health, and Multiplan/Medishare. 

We are unable to accept Humana, Tricare, and Wester Skies due to the individual insurance companies not being willing to work with us. You can call the number on the back of your insurance to speak with them regarding their willingness to contract with us. 

We do take walk ins up to an hour before closing. Please keep in mind that walk ins are reserved for acute issues. Chronic issues such as hypertension ect can not be seen as a walk in. We are happy to get you scheduled for an appoint for any chronic healthcare needs. 

Appointments can be scheduled by calling the clinic at 505-492-2541 or by clicking the schedule button at the top navigation bar or at the bottom of the web page. (Please note that this button will not appear until we are closer to opening)

We will not discuss health related issues outside of the clinic. This is to ensure that our staff get needed time off to rest. This is also important to protect your privacy to ensure no one else can access your medical information.  We will not respond to facebook messages, text messages, or phone calls of any other form of communication regarding your health. Please make an appointment to be seen so we can ensure you are getting the medical care you need. 

We will get back to you as quickly as we can. Please keep in mind that we may be waiting on results or other information to contact you. If you are messaging us on the Athena portal or have left a voicemail at the clinic, please give us 2 business days to get back to you.
